Adam Awad (he/him) has worked in community development for over 20 years, covering a range of issues from environmental justice to education and healthcare. In 2022, he led the work with the Gay Men's Sexual Health Alliance to shape Ontario's response to the mpox (formerly: monkeypox) outbreak, developing media and educational resources for queer and trans people, supporting the mass immunization campaign, and facilitating the most effective public health response to the outbreak in the world. He joined MAX Ottawa Community Health in 2023 as Executive Director and has supported an expansion of programs to meet the evolving health and wellness needs of 2SLGBTQIA+ people, as well as men who have sex with men (regardless of how they identify), in the National Capital Region and Eastern Ontario. 

Equally comfortable at the boardroom table, at the barricades, or at the baths, Adam brings his life experience into his professional work. You'd be hard pressed to find a topic that makes him blush, though you're welcome to try.
