The Iron Cabaret is Canada's largest award-winning after-dark cabaret show. Local to the Ottawa Valley, the cabaret combines high-flying aerials, sensual pole performances, stunning dance, and burlesque numbers, among much more. Beyond the stage, The Iron Cabaret helps fund local performers through an Artist Bursary, allowing artists to work with local businesses and keeping Ottawa's money in Ottawa. They have raised over $33,000 for local causes and continue to find new ways to bring sexy art to the city.

The Side Hoes (Heels Dance Troupe)
Formed through a shared love of heels dance in 2022, the Side Hoes bring together four performers with diverse backgrounds in competitive dance, pole, ballroom, circus arts, contortion, burlesque, and musical theatre. After spending the past few years pursuing individual creative projects, we’ve reunited to collaborate as an independent performance group. Our work blends technical versatility with theatrical storytelling, creating performances that are equal parts polished, playful, and unapologetically camp. We can’t wait to share what we have been creating!

LadyFreyAnna (she/her) is a lifestyle dominant and an active member of the Ottawa community since 2014. She has a flowing dynamic impact play and a deep love of protocol and power exchange. She's regularly been featured at various events, running her impact station or leading discussion workshops on various aspects of our lifestyle. She guides participants through various activities, providing an interactive, practical approach to learning best practices while having fun with it. Whether it's impact play, negotiated power dynamics, physical, emotional and psychological safety, she enjoys creating a fun and welcoming space to support engagement and learning. She is also a lifelong learner, so you will very likely run into her when attending other's classes. In her opinion, life is about always learning new skills and refining them.

TherapyDoll (she/they) is an experienced practitioner and educator specializing in fire cupping, fire massage, and heat-based sensation play. Lee brings 20 years of hands-on experience in teaching from their family's martial arts school. She has worked with a wide range of bodies, limits, experience and age levels. Over the past year, she's reawoken her love for teaching in the scene. With a strong emphasis on consent, risk awareness, and intentional technique, their teaching balances technical skill with grounded safety practices.

Peach Jelly (she/her) is a middle-aged, plus-sized, queer performer who lives by the motto “Always be extra.” Born from trauma, this mantra fuels her unapologetic commitment to self-expression and empowerment. On stage, she challenges societal molds and inspires others to embrace their unique beauty, passions, and power—no matter their size, age, or quirks.

Medusa (she/her), the newest Bollywood beauty in Burlesque, is a Desi girl with looking to spice up the stage with her fusion style. She excels at bringing her plethora of experience across multiple dance disciplines to all of her performances. Armed with a sari, she can enchant and entangle anyone with her six yards of fabric. She has graced the stage in her past solo performances at Queen & Queer, Rouge Studio of Dance and Rouge Productions with multiple mythical creative concepts.

Rosie Bloom (she/her) began her burlesque journey later in life, bringing sass, playfulness and irrestible charm to the stage .She captivates audiences with her infectious joy and facial expressions. Rosie shines with a bold confident presence and is here to challenge unrealistic beauty standards women of a certain age face and to show that burlesque is for everybody. She celebrates authenticity, confidence and the sheer pleasure of being unapologetically alive on stage.

Jen After Hours (she/her) has been pole dancing for over three years and has completely fallen in love with it. Raised in Barbados, she learned to embrace her femininity and sexuality - an influence that shapes her sensual and expressive pole style. Based in Ottawa, she draws inspiration from her Caribbean roots, exploring and experimenting with movement that is both playful and provocative.

Zenzimon (he/him) started training aerial circus in 2018 at age 25, and then pole in 2022, out of pure curiosity and with very little background in acrobatics. Turns out it's pretty fun, a great way to stay in shape and very good for helping keep chronic illness in check.

Shadows & Lace (she/they) is self-proclaimed for the girls, the gays and theys. Queer and politically engaged, they approach pole as a form of joy and resistance. Blending dynamic and acrobatic tricks, she creates high-energy performances that will leave you enthralled.

Mona Moor (she/her) is a new kind of tease, equal parts velvet charm and wild release. Rooted in Tunisian heat and laced with French allure, she lives in contrasts, soft yet daring, delicate yet audacious. Through striking, captivating visuals, Mona doesn’t simply perform, she creates a feeling. She is an experience: enchanting, disarming, and leaving you wanting… Moor.

Abella (she/her) - This small but spicy showgirl has been dancing since the age of 3! Don't let her small stature fool you though, as she brings sass and sensuality to the stage. She loves capturing audience's attention with her versatile performances and passion for the artform. One minute she's your innocent little princess and the next she's teasing you to the raw vocals of heavy metal. Its the Elegantly Naughty, Abella xo

Lex (she/her) is an Ottawa based circus artist with a passion for movement in the air. She loves to share art through every movement with each twist, turn, spin and drop. Not discovering dance or aerials until her adult life she hopes to show that with hard work and dedication anything is possible and it’s never too late to start.

MellaDonna (she/her) is a multi-disciplinary artist, exploring circus and burlequesque performance as well as writing and visual art. Trying on new characters, creating stories, and making authentic connections with audiences are her favourite aspects of performance art. The most rewarding performances – those where she has her best breakthroughs - tend come from daring to push past her own self-imposed limitations. Mella Donna has performed with the Iron Cabaret, CabaretNova and Cirquonscient and coached at the Ottawa Circus School.

josdine (she/her) first found rope in 2013 and has been happily tangled up in it ever since. From self-tying and circus-inspired acrobatics to hanging in trees and creating elaborate photography, she loves exploring the unexpected places rope can go. While she enjoys the unique ways rope can challenge her body through shapes and stress, her favourite moments are found on the floor, using rope as a tool for connection, communication, and expression. As an educator, Sara focuses on approachable foundations, helping others discover the creativity, curiosity, and connection that drew her into rope while celebrating the blissful smiles that shine when people experience the joy of being tied.

Knotigan (he/him) is a Canadian shibari artist who began his journey in Japanese rope bondage in 2018. Working as a rigger, he brings a dynamic, performance-driven approach to suspension — working with his partners to create ties that move, breathe, and carry weight with intent, turning technical rope work into a physical language of power, tension, and trust. Based in Ottawa, Knotigan continues to push his practice beyond the studio and into the stage.

Pole Princess

Twinkle & Paddie are Modern Swing dancers, which is not what you expect from your grandma’s swing dancing. Like music, their dance evolves with pop culture, forever remaining modern. Together they celebrate the versatility and flow created with each other and the audience, while bringing some extra spice. They are swing dancers of many varieties with blues, shag and hustle also under their belts, multi-faceted dancers, instructors and coaches. Part of the traveling swing community, they have been swinging together since 2017 but dancing with everyone for many years prior.
