A HOLISTIC APPROACH

TO SEXUAL WELLNESS

CLIMAX is Ottawa’s emerging Sexual Wellness & Intimacy Conference, bringing together educators, brands, and a community of curious minds for a full day of workshops, conversations, and programming focused on pleasure, intimacy,and relational wellbeing.

The conference was founded by sex educators Natalia Jaczkowski and Madelaine Dorion, two women who came to sexuality education from very different backgrounds.
Natalia grew up in a Polish Catholic household where sex was largely taboo and rarely discussed. Madelaine grew up in a completely different environment—her mother is Wanda, founder of Wicked Wanda’s, the oldest sex shop in Ottawa, where conversations about sexuality were part of everyday life.
Despite their different starting points, both founders arrived at the same realization: sexual wellness is an essential part of overall health, yet the spaces where people can learn about it openly are still limited.
Many events about sexuality tend to either sensationalize sex or approach it purely from an academic perspective. CLIMAX was created to bridge that gap — offering a space where conversations about sexuality, pleasure, and relationships are open, thoughtful, and actually fun.
Following the success of its first year, CLIMAX returns on October 25, 2026, expanding with a larger venue, more programming, and an even broader community of educators, creators, and wellness leaders.

OUR MISSION

CLIMAX exists to reframe sexual wellness as an essential part of overall health and wellbeing.

Our goal is to create a welcoming space where people can explore sexuality with curiosity, access expert education, and connect with brands and educators shaping the future of pleasure and relationship education.

We believe that when people feel empowered with knowledge about their bodies, desires, and relationships, they are better equipped to build fulfilling lives and meaningful connections.

OUR CORE VALUES

Sex education should be accurate, accessible, and free from stigma. We believe people deserve reliable information about their bodies, relationships, and pleasure without judgment or taboo.
Sex is often treated as something trivial or purely recreational. In reality, sexual connection can offer stress relief, emotional intimacy, joy, play, and self-expression — all of which contribute to overall wellbeing.
Sex education doesn’t end in school. Our bodies, relationships, and desires evolve throughout our lives, and we believe people deserve opportunities to keep learning and exploring at every stage.
Conversations about sexuality are powerful when shared in supportive spaces. CLIMAX brings people together to learn, reflect, and connect with others who are curious about intimacy and wellbeing.
We create spaces where people with different experiences, comfort levels, and perspectives can engage with sexual wellness in ways that feel safe, thoughtful, and respectful.

Building Something New in Ottawa

For years, people in Ottawa often had to travel to cities like Toronto or Montreal to find sex-positive events and communities.

That’s beginning to change.

CLIMAX is part of a growing movement that is helping position Ottawa as a hub for sexual wellness education and pleasure-positive community spaces.

By hosting the first conference of its kind in Canada, we’re helping build a culture where conversations about sexuality, intimacy, and wellbeing can happen openly — and where curiosity is welcomed, not stigmatized.
